If you’re needing to get council approval for some works, I recommend using a building surveyor.
Maybe you’re moving an internal wall, maybe you’re adding a patio, these types of works will require council approval.
It might even be that you need retrospective approval because there is a shed or outbuilding that doesn’t have council approval and you need to get retrospective approval.
The reason I prefer to use a building surveyor is for two reasons:
- Building surveyors can get building approvals quicker than I can
- They take care of the works which may require Engineering & drafting.
Of course, I could probably save $500 maybe $1000 if I did it myself, but for the time I save & not having to worry about it being rejected, I think it’s worth the extra spend for a smooth process.
For me It’s all about the dream team, the more professionals in my corner taking care of things the easier it is for me and the more deals I can do.
